Paul Scholes, the Manchester United legend, has not held back in his assessment of Marcus Rashford's behavior both at United and during his loan spell at Barcelona. Following Rashford's late arrival to a pre-match meeting, leading to his exclusion from the starting lineup against Getafe, Scholes labeled his actions as disgraceful.

During the summer transfer window, Rashford made headlines by joining Barcelona on loan. However, his recent track record of tardiness, including being dropped by former United manager Erik ten Hag for similar reasons, has raised eyebrows. Current United manager Ruben Amorim also expressed his disappointment, stating that Rashford's professional attitude did not meet his standards.

Scholes expressed his frustration on "The Good, The Bad & The Football" podcast, saying, "I really struggle to feel happy for Marcus Rashford, mainly because of his attitude... He quit on Man Utd. When you quit once, you’ll quit again." He added, "How can you sleep in these days? Your phone, alarm, whatever. How can you sleep in?" Scholes believes that despite Rashford's undeniable talent, his mentality may prevent him from reaching his full potential.

Rashford has faced criticism before, including a night out in Belfast that led to him missing training. In a blog post, he defended himself, suggesting that media scrutiny has made him a target. He stated, "I’m not a perfect person. When I make a mistake, I’ll be the first one to put my hand up and say that I need to do better." With Barcelona having the option to sign him permanently, the pressure is on Rashford to prove he can rise above the distractions and focus on his game.
